Dr. Gage Winkels is a chiropractic physician dedicated to treating various patients, ranging from office workers to professional athletes. Dr. Gage dedicates his treatment to removing ailments from the patient and restoring proper function and biomechanics to the body, allowing the patient to return to whatever activities are desired, better than before.
Dr. Gage received his B.S. degree from Minnesota State University, Mankato, in Biomedical Sciences-Biology and spent this time observing and learning about the many medical professions the world offers. During his time here, he grew an interest in the practice of chiropractic medicine with a heavy emphasis on a sport and rehabilitation clinical model. Dr. Gage then attended Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, Minnesota, where he became heavily involved on campus.
During his time in chiropractic school, Dr. Gage became a club representative for the Motion Palpation Club at NWHSU and was involved in various other clubs on campus, such as the Rehab 2 Performance Club and the NWHSU Functional Medicine Club. While at NWHSU, Dr. Gage continued his growing interest in joint manipulation, functional rehabilitation, and biomechanics.
Outside of the time spent within NWHSU, Dr. Gage spent weekends traveling around the country, attending seminars with the Motion Palpation Institute, where he spent additional hours learning and improving his palpation and joint manipulation skills. Dr. Gage found great pleasure in attending these events due to the vast clinical knowledge and hands-on skills presented by what many inside and outside the profession consider the best at palpation and joint manipulation.
Dr. Gage is excited to bring his strong ability to palpate and adjust and his knowledge in human biomechanics, extracorporeal shockwave therapy, and manual muscle therapy to Health-Fit Chiropractic and the surrounding South Florida communities. Dr. Gage enjoys working with all populations, specifically those with extremity complaints and athletes involved in running, golf, and weight training.
Outside of the chiropractic profession, Dr. Gage enjoys running, weight training, golfing, fishing, hunting, and relaxing with a good book. Dr. Gage looks forward to experiencing all of South Florida’s outdoor activities and is thankful not to have to put up with sub-freezing temperatures and multiple feet of snow this winter.
