Dr. Gage Winkels is a sports chiropractor in Boca Raton, FL, dedicated to helping people of all ages stay active, recover from injuries, and return to the activities they love. He earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Northwestern Health Sciences University in 2024 after completing a Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences at Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2020.
Driven by a natural curiosity to ask “why” and find the root cause of problems, Dr. Winkels takes an evidence-based, patient-first approach to care. He works with active individuals ranging from pre-teens to retirees, addressing conditions such as low back pain, neck pain, sprains and strains, bursitis, tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, and common overuse injuries.
Dr. Winkels holds advanced certifications in Active Release Technique (ART® Full Body), Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (Level 2, Academy of Shockwave Excellence), and is a certified provider with the Motion Palpation Institute. He has additional training in instrument-assisted soft tissue manipulation, Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS), and Tonal gym-based rehabilitation systems. These skills allow him to combine hands-on chiropractic adjustments with the latest rehab and soft-tissue care to increase performance.
Since moving to South Florida in 2024, Dr. Winkels has partnered with triathlete training groups, run clubs, baseball teams, and tennis training facilities throughout Palm Beach and Broward County. He also enjoys presenting at chiropractic schools and teaching future doctors about Motion Palpation and the role of sports chiropractic in modern healthcare.
Originally from Grand Rapids, Minnesota, Dr. Winkels brings a Midwestern approachable style to his practice. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys exploring with his dog (Sota), running with local run clubs, fitness classes, Hyrox training, the beach, and spending time outdoors fishing and hunting.
