About Dr. Scott Hoar
|Growing up in northern Virginia, Dr. Scott Hoar was a three-sport athlete in high school and played baseball in college. He found himself dealing with recurring low back pain and sitting out for extended periods of time. After receiving treatment from all sorts of practitioners, he discovered that with just a few short chiropractic treatments, he was able to return to baseball pain-free knowing what he was destined to do with his life.
He uses a combination of Active Release technique, Graston® technique, chiropractic manual therapy as well as corrective exercises to improve mobility with his patients. Dr. Hoar is certified in the Functional Movement Screen(FMS) and the Selective Functional Movement Assessment(SFMA) which provide the ability to address patients’ dysfunctional movement patterns. Dr. Hoar is the Medical Director of a prominent NFL combine prep camp and is trained by the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) to assess and address golfers’ issues as they look to continue and improve their performance.
Patients under Dr. Hoar’s care experience freedom from pain, avoid surgery, and get back into the activities they love, lose weight and break personal performance records.
