About Dr. Scott Hoar
Growing up in northern Virginia, Dr. Scott Hoar was athree-sport athlete in high school and played baseball in college. He found himself dealing with recurring low back pain and sitting out for extended periods of time. After receiving treatment from all sorts of practitioners, he discovered that with just a few short chiropractic treatments, he was able to return to baseball pain-free knowing what he was destined to do with his life.
He uses a combination of Active Release technique, Graston® technique, chiropractic manual therapy as well as corrective exercises to effectively treat his patients. Dr. Hoar is certified in the Functional Movement Screen(FMS) and the Selective Functional Movement Assessment(SFMA) which provide the ability to address patients’ root causes of their pain. Dr. Hoar has worked with multiple NFL combine prep programs and is trained by the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) to address golfers’ looking to improve their performance. He is also a member of the advisory board to the Elite Fitness Institute.
